“Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the 550 victims, and their families, who have been lost in Camden County due to COVID-19,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.

“We are devastated by every life lost to this pandemic, but we are encouraged by the decreasing rate of fatalities in the county. This is entirely due to our residents and their collective effort to protect our vulnerable populations by slowing the spread of coronavirus. If we continue to wear masks, social distance, and work with contact tracers when they call, we will save more lives and further reduce the number of confirmed cases in our community.”

The Department of Health is announcing 84 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,338 confirmed resident cases and 526 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 9,181 in our 56 long-term care facilities.
