Food distribution cancelled due to inclement weather

The next food distribution will take place at Camden County College in Gloucester Township on Friday, August 14

The following is a release by Camden County:

Tomorrow’s food distribution, hosted in conjunction with Touch NJ Food Alliance at Antioch Baptist Church in Camden, has been cancelled due to forecasted thunderstorms and in the interest of public safety. The next food distribution will take place at Camden County College in Gloucester Township on Friday, August 14.

“Since May, we have held at least one food distribution in our community, rain or shine, every week,” said Freeholder Jonathan Young. “While we have operated multiple distributions during rain, tomorrow’s forecasted storms present a new challenge. In the interest of keeping our residents and volunteers safe, we are cancelling tomorrow’s distribution. Rest assured, we will be back in the community next week to deliver hundreds of boxes of food and resources to those in need.”

Residents should frequently visit camdencounty.com for information regarding food distributions and other critical services. A schedule of distribution sites through August is available by visiting here.
