The Camden County Department of Health revealed on Thursday 36 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 8,491 in Camden County today and 528 total fatalities.
“This morning we opened applications for the Camden County CARES Small Business Grant Program. Within hours, we had more than one thousand businesses apply for assistance,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“This speaks to the need in our community and the significant impact this year’s shutdown had on those that make up the backbone of our economy. We cannot afford to close these businesses again, but we can ensure that our economy remains open and that businesses are able to resume operations by taking every precaution to stop the spread of coronavirus. Keep wearing masks, social distancing, and quarantining after travel to states with an active outbreak.”
Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,334 confirmed resident cases and 502 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 8,491 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 307 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 528 total fatalities countywide.
