The Camden County Department of Health revealed on Tuesday 55 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 8,426 in Camden County today and 528 total fatalities.
“We need everyone to continue to wear masks, social distance, and take this virus seriously. That our state is trending in the right direction is not an accident, it is the direct result of our collective action to stop the spread of coronavirus,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“Today, the governor again increased the list of states from which travelers should quarantine when entering New Jersey. As most of the country faces rapid growth in viral spread, we need to take these guidelines seriously. If you return from traveling to one of these 31 states, please consider quarantining for 14 days to protect your friends, neighbors, and community. We have beaten coronavirus back, now we have to work to keep it down.”
Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,330 confirmed resident cases and 501 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 8,426 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 305 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 528 total fatalities countywide.
