Though the library building remains closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Moorestown Library is now offering contactless pickup of library materials as of Monday, June 22.
“We are thrilled to offer this service to our patrons who have waited so patiently to get access to library materials during this pandemic,” said Library Director, Joan Serpico.
To use the service, library patrons simply place their request via the library catalog at www.moorestownlibrary.org or call the library at (856)234–0333. When the materials are ready, library staff will call to arrange a time for the items to be picked up. Once arriving at the library, patrons are asked to call and library staff will bring the materials to a table outside of the library where the items can be retrieved.
Books, DVDs, CDs and computer-generated printouts (via PrinterOn remote printing) can be picked up. (Some items like museum passes, binge boxes, book group in a bag and interlibrary loan items are not available for pickup, currently.)
Patrons can request up to 20 items per library card, per day. The service is available 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday (by appointment). Library materials can be returned via the book drop.
All returned library materials will be quarantined for at least 72 hours to prevent possible spread of COVID-19.
The Moorestown Library has instituted a Summer Fine Amnesty through August 30. No late fees will be charged during this time. Timely returns are appreciated, however, since other readers may be anxiously awaiting the materials.
Please contact the library with any questions: [email protected] or (856)234–0333.
