Raymond A. Fausak of Mount Laurel passed away on June 3 at the age of 79 of Mt. Laurel. He was the beloved husband of 54 years of Ruth (nee Herreilers) and father of Susan Fausak.
Ray was born and raised in Jersey City. He began his college career at Rutgers University in Newark, transferred to Fairleigh Dickinson after he married, then to Black Hawk State College when he was transferred to Moline Illinois by his company. He finally got his degree from Rutgers University Camden, once he and his family moved to Mt. Laurel. He served with the New Jersey National Guard, protecting citizens during the Newark riots in the mid sixties. While serving in the National Guard he went to OTS where he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant. He then served in the Army Reserves until his discharge.
Raymond was a resident of Mt. Laurel for 48 years, where with his wife they ran General Integrated Systems. Ray was a Mason, and a member of Secaucus-Hudson Lodge #72 in Secaucus. He was a longtime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Moorestown where he served in many capacities over the years — ushering, reading and acting in St. Matthew Players to name a few.
Due to the present circumstances, no public services are planned at this time. A future service of remembrance will be held at a later time.
