Gloucester County announced 20 new positive COVID-19 cases on the morning of April 2.
As of this morning, Gloucester County has conducted 1,149 tests. Of those tests, 957 are negatives, 170 are positives and 22 are still pending.
April 2’s newest positive COVID-19 cases include:

- A 71-year-old male from Monroe Township
- A 78-year-old female from Deptford
- A 51-year-old male from Washington Township
- A 30-year-old male from Monroe Township
- A 53-year-old female from Woodbury
- A 25-year-old female from Monroe Township
- A 27-year-old female from Paulsboro
- A 10-year-old female from Paulsboro
- A 22-year-old female from Washington Township
- A 60-year-old female from Washington Township
- A 59-year-old female from Monroe Township
- A 37-year-old male from Washington Township
- A 50-year-old female from Washington Township
- A 60-year-old female from Monroe Township
- A 63-year-old female from Woolwich
- A 45-year-old female from East Greenwich
- A 72-year-old female from Deptford
- A 78-year-old female from National Park
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
County officials say the overall threat of COVID-19 to residents remains low, but Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. A mask should only be worn if a healthcare professional recommends it. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
