Gloucester County health officials reported an additional 30 positive COVID-19 cases over the weekend. The new cases bring the county’s total number to 72 since the start of the pandemic.
The new positive cases are as follows:
- A 45-year-old male from Clayton
- A 64-year-old male from Deptford
- A 12-year-old male from Monroe Township
- A 76-year-old female from Franklin Township
- A 47-year-old female from Greenwich Township
- A 26-year-old female from Deptford
- A 28-year-old female from Woodbury
- A 50-year-old female from Deptford
- A 28-year-old male from Deptford
- A 36-year-old female from Woodbury Heights
- A 20-year-old female from Washington Township
- A 21-year-old male from Glassboro
- A 52-year-old male from East Greenwich
- A 34-year-old female from Logan Township
- A 54-year-old male from Deptford
- A 37-year-old female from West Deptford
- A 35-year-old female from Monroe Township
- A 44-year-old female from Franklin Township
- A 48-year-old female from Glassboro
- A 52-year-old male from Glassboro
- A 65-year-old female from Woodbury Heights
- A 61-year-old female from Washington Township
- A 25-year-old male from Clayton
- A 24-year-old female from Deptford
- A 72-year-old female from Monroe Township
- A 21-year-old male from East Greenwich
- A 48-year-old female from Glassboro
- A 46-year-old female from Deptford
- A 40-year-old female from Pitman
- A 48-year-old male from Mantua
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
At this time, county health officials say the overall threat of COVID-19 to residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. A mask should only be worn if a healthcare professional recommends it.
