In response to Gov. Phil Murphy’s recent directive to stay at home, both Gloucester Township Public Schools and the Black Horse Pike Regional School District have changed the way their respective Food Service Department’s will distribute breakfast and lunch to students that normally receive them.
The changes, effective Monday, March 23, will now make it so families can pick up two days worth of breakfast and lunch on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9 a.m. and noon at one of the three middle schools.
Parents are reminded to refrigerate half of the food received each day to be used as the second day’s breakfast and lunch.
“The primary purpose of establishing the Grab and Go meal program is to feed resident children of Gloucester Township. This includes all students up through and including high school. Until this crisis has ended, we remain committed to the students and families of Gloucester Township,” said Superintendent John Bilodeau in a statement.
