Four more cases of COVID-19 in CamdenCo

Camden County Department of Health announced four men tested positive for the novel coronavirus

The number of COVID-19 cases in Camden County was at 15 by the end of the day today, Friday, March 20, after four additional positive cases were announced by the Camden County Department of Health. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remains ongoing.

“This fight is a long way from over, but we want to thank the people of Camden County who are taking this threat seriously and doing everything they can to stay home, limit their exposure to others, and reduce the spread of this disease,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “At the same time, it is important to recognize that more cases will be confirmed in the coming days and weeks because of the slowly increasing availability of testing. This does not mean that social distancing measures are not working. Staying home is our best course of action to stay healthy and save lives.”

The following information is currently available regarding the new patients:

• The first patient, announced Friday morning, is a male in his 50s self-isolating at home in Winslow Township.

• The second patient, announced Friday evening, is a Camden City man in his 50s hospitalized in serious condition.

• The third patient, announced Friday evening, is a Haddonfield man in his 40s hospitalized in stable condition.

• The fourth patient, announced Friday evening, is a Winslow Township man in his 50s hospitalized in stable condition.

The county Health Department is currently working with the NJDOH to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
