Gun violence presentation comes to Friends’ meeting house

Connecticut-based Quaker to make his case on March 1.

On Sunday, March 1, at 11 a.m., Haddonfield Meeting at 47 Friends Avenue, will host a presentation, entitled, “A Quaker Response to Gun Violence in America: Turning Loss into Legislation.” Peter Murchison of Wilton, Connecticut Quaker Meeting will be the speaker.

Since losing his nephew Daniel Barden in the Sandy Hook massacre, Murchison has been advocating for gun violence prevention. He is a member at the Wilton Quaker Meeting in Connecticut and serves as clerk of the Ministry and Oversight Committee. Look for his article, “A Quaker Response to Gun Violence in America,” in February’s “Friends Journal.”
