Throughout February, Ravitz Family Markets will be raising money in support of Ronald McDonald House Southern New Jersey (RMHSNJ) at their five ShopRite stores in Burlington and Camden counties.
On Thursday, families staying at the House will be stopping by to say, “thank you” and pick up a few groceries. From cards of support at the register, to hot dog and pretzel sales, and a collection box at store exits, Ravitz Family Markets has been raising money for the 800 families who stay at the House each year.
At the ShopRite of Garden State Pavilion, starting at 11 a.m. and lasting until 12 p.m. RMHSNJ families will be greeted by store associates and will have a chance to catch up with shopping. There will be special surprises in store, as well.
Since families often have to stay at the House for days and even weeks at a time, shopping for groceries remains part of their routine, and families are offered transportation from the House to ShopRite to shop. Interactions with the families give the store associates a chance to appreciate the cause they support even more.
Other ShopRite stores raising money include the ShopRite of Marlton, ShopRite of Union Mill Road, ShopRite of Mount Laurel, and the ShopRite of Evesham Road. Upon checkout, customers will be offered the chance to purchase a RMHSNJ card of support, which can be signed and hung in the ShopRite front windows. Each store will compete to see which one raises the most money, and the winning store will receive a pizza party celebration courtesy of RMHSNJ.
