Haddonfield Theater Arts Center will present its annual holiday show to be performed at Grace Performance Hall: “Grumble,” a retelling of “A Christmas Carol,” but with a small town New Jersey twist.
This will mark the second time HTAC has performed “Grumble,” as it is part of a now established tetralogy of Holiday shows performed on a rotating cycle every four years. “Grumble” premiered in 2015 and was followed subsequently by “Deck the Halls,” “The Magic of Pacys,” and “Small Town Carol.”
Each year, their holiday show follows different characters, but is set in the same “fictional” small New Jersey town with a home style restaurant, toy store and a dinosaur statue.
Come follow the miserly Mayor Grumble as he does his best to ruin the holidays for everyone before being visited by three old friends who make it their mission to show him that life is good, people care and love is all around.
“Grumble” can be seen on stage at the Performance Hall (19 Kings Highway East) on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., then Sunday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be reserved at [email protected].
