Unofficial results: Sunbury, McGinnis win election to township committee

Results are unofficial until certified by the county’s Board of Elections

According to unofficial results provided by Burlington County’s Board of Elections, voters elected candidates Robert Sunbury and Nancy McGinnis to the Tabernacle Township Committee on Nov. 5.

The two candidates ran uncontested for the two open seats. Sunbury received 1,243 votes, McGinnis received 1,252 votes, as of publication. Twenty-three votes were cast as write-ins.

The trio of Megan Chamberlain, Victoria Shoemaker and Gail Corey won re-election to the Tabernacle Township Board of Education. They received 983, 1,020 and 959 votes, respectively. Forty-four votes were cast as write-ins.

In the race for the Tabernacle Township seat in the Lenape Regional Board of Education election, incumbent Robert Bende was re-elected with 1,078 votes in his favor. Ten votes were cast as write-ins.
