Tuesday, Nov. 5 is Election Day in New Jersey, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Residents of Berlin Borough can vote in races for Berlin Borough Mayor and Council, Berlin Borough School District Board of Education,Eastern Camden County Regional School District Board of Education, Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Camden County Clerk.
Voters will also vote on a state public question.
In the race for Mayor of Berlin Borough, the lone candidate running is Rick Miller (Berlin First). Meanwhile, the two candidates running for Berlin Borough Council are Jim Pearce (Berlin First) and Andy Simone (Berlin First).
In the race for three seats on the Berlin Borough School District Board of Education, the three listed candidates running are Kristen Simone, Rebecca Holland and Lisa Kehoe.
For the one open seat with the Eastern Camden County Regional School District representing Berlin Borough, Robert DeCicco (Excellence in Education) is the lone listed candidate.
When electing candidates to the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders, voters will have a choice of Melinda Kane (D) and Keith Cybulski (R) for an unexpired term, while Edward McDonnell (D) and Carmen Rodriguez (D) face off against Claire Gustafson (R) and Nicole Nance (R) for the other two open seats.
The county clerk election is between Joseph Ripa (D) and Roy Gustafson (R).
For the state question on this year’s ballot, voters will choose either “yes” or “no” on a constitutional amendment to give certain veterans’ benefits to residents of continuing care retirement communities. The proposed amendment would allow eligible veterans who live in such retirement communities to receive the same $250 tax deduction as veterans who live in private residences.

- District 1 – Berlin Borough Hall, 59 South White Horse Pike
- District 2, 5 – Berlin Fire Hall, 221 South White Horse Pike and Washington Ave.
- District 3, 4 – Berlin Community Center, 250 South Franklin Ave.
