Medford Police report driver was entrapped in vehicle in Route 70 crash

The operator of the Dodge Challenger was found to be entrapped within the vehicle and was subsequently extricated by the Medford Township Fire Dept.

The following report is on file with the Medford Police Department. 

On Aug. 14 at 6:36 a.m., Medford’s Police Dept., Fire Dept., and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Route 70 near Medford Leas Way. Police arrived to find a two-car head-on collision involving a flatbed delivery truck and Dodge Challenger. The operator of the Dodge Challenger was found to be entrapped within the vehicle and was subsequently extricated by the Medford Township Fire Dept. He was transported to Cooper Hospital for treatment of injuries including multiple fractures. The operator of the delivery truck was evaluated for minor injuries on scene, however, refused medical treatment. State Highway 70 was closed in both directions between Eayrestown Rd. and County Route 541 for several hours during the incident. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Medford Police Traffic Unit.
