Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a pair of FedEx truck robberies.
Raphy Lopez, 24, and Randhi Ferreras, 22, were arrested and each charged with two counts of second-degree robbery and twp counts of second-degree theft, Evesham Police announced on Monday. The men were arrested in connection with two robberies of FedEx trucks where the suspects stole pre-packaged cell phones.
Evesham detectives along with the Evesham crime-analyst, developed possible suspects from comparing a description of the suspect’s getaway vehicle by conducting extensive research within law enforcement databases. From that match, Evesham Township Police and the Philadelphia Police Department responded to a home in the 700 block of Madison Street in Philadelphia PA and located the vehicle used in the two robberies.
While conducting surveillance on the target vehicle, officers observed the suspects enter the target vehicle where three occupants were arrested with two being the suspects in both Evesham robberies. With the assistance of Philadelphia detectives, a search warrant for the vehicle was obtained and a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of seven cell phones.
Upon their arrest, both men were committed to county jail in Philadelphia, pending extradition to New Jersey.
