Angelina Pontelandolfo (nee Patrinicola), known to friends as Angie Ponte, passed away on July 4 at the age of 99.
Angie was raised on a small farm in Barnsboro with her parents and four sisters. At age 22, she traveled by train alone to Washington State where she married her husband, the late John, soon before he set off overseas to serve in WWII.
He was away for almost four years while she worked at war related jobs. She and John later owned and operated Ponte’s Meat Market in Barnsboro for over 25 years.
Always appreciative of her blessings, Angie gave generously to others. She and John loved to host dance parties and family events at their Barnsboro and Sea Isle City homes. They were avid bridge players.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Bill) Clinton, JoAnna (Ed) Davis, and John (Diane) Pontelandolfo. She was known to her eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as Grangie and Mom-mom.
