The United States of America is set to celebrate its 243rd year on Thursday, July 4, with festivities planned across the nation.
In Haddonfield, it’s no different, as the Haddonfield Celebrations Association will spearhead all borough efforts to commemorate Independence Day as it marks its 80th year of operation.
Beginning on July 3 at 6 p.m., local celebrations kick off with “Yankee Doodle Doo,” featuring food trucks, bounce houses and live music along Kings Highway. A fireworks extravaganza closes out the night, scheduled for approximately 9:20 p.m., which can be visible from near the high speedline bridge on Kings Highway West.
Then, at 10 a.m. the following day, the annual Fourth of July parade will begin at the intersection of Kings Highway East and Chestnut Street and continue on to Haddonfield Memorial High School. Registration for the parade begins at 8:30 a.m.
There is no rain date for either the fireworks or the parade in case of inclement weather.
