The Fellowship Alliance Chapel is hosting the South Jersey premier of the documentary of the award winning film, “Heroin’s Grip.” This documentary tells the story about heroin and the opioid epidemic from the viewpoint of those on the front lines of this national crisis. The film features four families whose lives have been impacted and forever changed by addiction, and includes stories from those currently using people in recovery, as well as perspectives from law enforcement, health care workers, judges, prosecutors, and others who deal with people in crisis every day. Ultimately, the film gives hope for the user and for the families who’ve been impacted. If you want a better understanding of addiction of its consequences, please attend and watch this film.
The evening event will include:
- Welcome greeting
- Answering questions from the audience
- Viewing of the documentary film
- A panel discussion
- A memorial with pictures of loved ones who have passed
Additionally, support groups, including Helping Hand Grief Support, and other professionals will have informational tables, handout materials and brochures, and representatives will be available to answer questions about obtaining help with this devastating epidemic.
The program will be held on June 22 at The Fellowship Center, located at 199 Church Road, Medford. The event will start at 7:30 pm, and is a free event.
