The Camden County East All-Stars will take on the West All-Stars as the Freeholder Board hosts the 17th Annual Camden County High School All-Star Baseball Game for graduating Camden County High School Seniors.
“We want to congratulate all of the players for their selection to participate in this year’s very special game,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Ed McDonnell, liaison to the Camden County Department of Special Events. “The Freeholder Board hosts this game each year to honor high school seniors from Camden County who have shown their commitment and hard work on the field and in the classroom.”
Each year, the Freeholder Board invites coaches and athletic directors to select up to two baseball players from their high school to participate in the game. The students must be seniors eligible to graduate and residents of Camden County. The coaching staff for the game is made up of volunteers from the participating high schools.
“One of the highlights of this event is that it brings together players from teams across the county who were competing against one another just a few weeks ago,” McDonnell said. “For many of these athletes, this could be their last chance to take the field and play a game of competitive baseball before graduating high school and beginning the next exciting phase of their lives.”
This year’s East All-Stars will feature 22 players from Camco Tech High School, Cherry Hill High School East, Eastern High School, Haddonfield Memorial High School, Hammonton High School, Highland High School, The King’s Christian School, Overbrook High School, Sterling High School, Timber Creek High School, Triton High School, and Winslow Township High School.
The West All-Stars will feature 19 players from Audubon High School, Bishop Eustace Prep, Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill High School West, Collingswood High School, Gloucester High School, Gloucester Catholic High School, Haddon Heights High School, Haddon Township High School, Paul VI High School, Penn Tech High School, and Pennsauken High School.
The game will take place at Eastern Regional high School at 1401 Laurel Oak Road in Voorhees Township starting at 7 p.m.
