Evesham Township is touting the success of the township’s Annual Shred Event on May 4.
According to the township, 485 residents drove through the township’s annual shred event at Evesham’s Municipal Services Complex on Sharp Road, with a total of 18,900 pounds of confidential files and paperwork shredded on-site.
Township officials describe the event as an “important service” to provide residents a method to safely and securely destroy confidential information and help to prevent identity theft.
According to officials, materials are then recycled.
Debbie Pease, Evesham’s Recycling Coordinator, also thanked all volunteers for their help with the event.
According to officials, the Marlton Rotary was represented by Joan and Evans Kerrigan, Evesham’s Green Team was represented by Ila Vassallo and Hilary Trotman Scout Troop 100 was represented by Scout Matt Specht and his mother Deborah, Evesham’s Professional Firefighters’ Foundation was represented by Matt Heston and several additional members and Evesham’s Environmental Commission was represented by Raymond McAvaddy and his sons Owen and Andrew.
Officials thank these organizations and their volunteers for being generous with their time in order make this year’s successful event possible.
