Burlington County Freeholders and Bridge Commission announce joint business resources expo for June 5

The event will feature more than a dozen resource tables and eight separate lectures for entrepreneurs to enjoy.

On Wednesday, June 5, from 9 to 11 a.m., Rowan College at Burlington County will host an event for residents to explore public resources for starting and growing their businesses.

The event, which will be held in Votta Hall, will host more than a dozen resource tables and eight separate lectures for entrepreneurs to enjoy.

The consortium will include representatives from the state, county and local business groups.

“Burlington County and the Bridge Commission offer a robust array of services to our residents. This event is a catch all, and will provide valuable information and resources to anyone from a fledgling startup firm to a large corporation located here in Burlington County,” said Freeholder Felicia Hopson, liaison for Economic Development. “Businesses cannot grow in a vacuum, local government must help to foster growth and be agile in its response to the changing needs of businesses. Events like these ensure officials are in tune with the public’s needs. ”

Freeholder Director Tom Pullion also commented on the event.

“I am glad to see this event hosted at RCBC. It signifies the important relationship between our local economy and the education going on at the College.” Pullion said. “Government is always trying to catch up to the needs of businesses, and institutions of higher education always trying to predict what the future needs of business will be, so that students can graduate equipped with the right skill set.”
