Once again, Burlington Township and Burlington City are sponsoring the “Big D Valley Bassmasters” Kid’s Fishing Derby, a free, family-friendly event for boys and girls ages 15 and under.
The fishing derby is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Kennedy Park Lake on Wood Street in Burlington. Same-day registration begins at 7:30 and ends at 9 a.m. Fishing will begin at 8 a.m.
According to officials, fishing poles and tackle will provided to those who need them on a first come, first serve basis. Bait will be provided for all.
Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish caught and most fish caught. Participants must stay until the end of the derby to receive their prize.
