Seniors are invited to attend this free event. which will include numerous educational workshops.
The Katz JCC is hosting its inaugural Boomer Connection Expo on Sunday, April 28 from 11:30 a.m to 4 p.m. This event will include educational, informative workshops for boomers to learn more about areas that may be or are already of interest to them, including retirement, grandparenting, downsizing, entertainment, travel, health and more.
“The Boomer population is currently the largest in the United States, with many residing here in the greater Philadelphia area,” said Marcy Weiner Lahav, director of the adult department at the JCC. “Boomers are redefining the aging process. We are exploring what is out there, so we can individualize this next stage of life for ourselves.”
The Boomer Connection Expo will kick off with a keynote address from Dr. Marc Agronin, author of “The End of Old Age,” who will present a hopeful and practical model of aging as well as a guide to understanding how to make the journey better and full of well-being, meaning and longevity. Following Dr. Agronin’s keynote, attendees can partake in various workshops facilitated by area experts. Connect with vendors providing information and resources that will assist boomers navigate through this new stage of life and with your peers over refreshments available throughout the day.
