Burlington County Recycling schedules for Christmas and New Years

The holidays usually mean having more things to recycle, don’t miss these dates and risk a pile up

From the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders:

Burlington County announced that because of the Christmas Day and New Year’s Day holidays, the recycling collection schedule will be changed during the last week in December and the first week in January. Regular recycling collection will resume beginning Monday, Jan. 7, 2019. The recycling schedule is as follows:

Recycling Schedule Following Christmas Day 2018

Wed., Dec. 26: Medford Lakes, Medford Township, Shamong

Thu., Dec. 27: Delran, Moorestown, Riverside

Fri., Dec. 28: Beverly, Delanco, Edgewater Park, Willingboro

Sat., Dec. 29: Burlington City, Burlington Township, Springfield, Westampton

Recycling Schedule Following New Year’s Day 2019

Wed., Jan. 2: Hainesport, Mount Laurel

Thu., Jan. 3: Cinnaminson, Maple Shade, Palmyra, Riverton

Fri., Jan. 4: Joint Base MDL, New Hanover, North Hanover, Pemberton Borough, Pemberton Township, Tabernacle, Washington, Wrightstown

Sat., Jan. 5: Evesham

Due to recent drastic changes in the recycling markets, residents are asked to remove packing contents, like foam and plastic wrap that contaminate the recycling stream and flatten boxes before recycling.

In the event of overflow, residents should use their local municipal recycling drop-off. Additionally, please consider holding on to recyclables until next collection or taking them to municipal recycling drop-offs in case of a windy day, snow or ice storms.
