Marlton’s former G Boys Christmas Animation Wonderland continues at new home in Cherry Hill
There’s no place Ralph Gaudio would rather be during the holidays season than sitting outside his locally famous G Boys Christmas Animation Wonderland. The 76-year-old Sicklerville resident and his family owned G Boys Garden Center on Route 70 in Marlton for more than 30 years. Six years after G Boys Garden Center closed, Ralph Gaudio’s Christmas wonderland is attracting plenty of visitors at McNaughton’s Garden Center in Cherry Hill, now open through Dec. 30.
Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year: Cherokee junior Ethan Wechsler
The Sun Newspapers has selected nine “Athletes of the Year” for each scholastic sport for the fall season from the 20 towns and more than 20 schools within The Sun’s coverage area. For Boys Cross Country, that winner is Cherokee High School’s Ethan Wechsler.
Evesham Police look to identify trio that allegedly shoplifted $3,000 worth of iPhones
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On Nov. 28, Evesham Police say the three males depicted in the surveillance video above allegedly shoplifted $3,049.99 worth of iPhones from the Target Store located at 751 S. Route 73 in Marlton. According to police, the males allegedly utilized tools to cut security devices off an iPhone display case. Once they allegedly had the phones, police say the males fled the store through a rear fire exit and entered a black and white Dodge Charger, described as a possible decommissioned police vehicle.
Lenape Regional High School District collects nearly 80,000 pounds of clothing for Goodwill
The Lenape Regional High School District recently finished its eighth year of participating in the Give to Goodwill Competition, with what district officials describe as an astounding 79,204 pounds of clothing collected for donation. Students, teachers, staff and family members at each district school were asked to bring in gently used clothing and accessories to be collected and donated to Goodwill.
Lenape Regional High School District holds fourth and final strategic planning forum
This week marked the fourth and final strategic planning forum held by Lenape Regional High School District officials to solicit input from the public for officials to use in the creation of a new, five-year strategic plan for the district. Groups debated among themselves about the strengths and challenges of the district, as well as what aspects they’d like to strengthen or change for the district in five years.
