BT Police are getting a little hairy this November

The department is putting down their razors to help raise cancer awareness

From the Burlington Township Police Department:

During the month of Nov., Burlington Twp. Police officers will be participating in “No Shave November.” For those who do not know, the purpose of No Shave November is to raise awareness by “embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free.” Many of our officers will be donating the money they would typically spend on shaving and grooming, to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle. This cause is being sponsored by the Burlington Twp. FOP Lodge #84, who will be matching the donations made by our officers.

All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital — Science and Medicine. If you would like to donate to this cause please visit https://no-shave.org/.

Officers will only be growing traditional beards, goatees, or mustaches. All will be neatly trimmed. Anyone with questions about this cause and our officers participating may call (609) 239–5852.
