The event will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The Moorestown Knights of Columbus Council 1082 will host a Veterans Appreciation Night on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Our Lady of Good Council school cafeteria at 23 Prospect Ave. in Moorestown. The keynote honoree will be local veteran George Wood. The Armed Forces Heritage Museum of Wrightstown recently completed a video as part of their Living History Project to preserve the military history of New Jersey. This video highlights George’s service as an anti-submarine pilot in World War II and will be shown at this event at 7:30 p.m.
In addition to honoring George’s service, the Knights are honoring veterans from all conflicts. All military veterans of any age are invited to come to Veterans Appreciation Night. Bring any pictures, memorabilia and stories that you want. Family members of living or deceased military veterans are encouraged to be part of this celebration. Come and honor your loved ones with pictures, remembrances and memorabilia.
All are invited and encouraged to attend this free event. Parents bring the whole family so your children can learn what their grandparents and great-grandparents endured.
If you would like to participate, as a veteran or the family of one, please contact Craig Oakum by phone or text at (570)590–3963 or by email at [email protected].
