This event will raise funds in support of charitable home care, hospice and counseling programs for residents of South Jersey.
The Moorestown Visiting Nurses & Hospice invites the community to attend its annual food, wine and beer tasting benefit known as “Spirits Night” on Friday, Oct. 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Westin in Mt. Laurel at 555 Fellowship Road.
This event will raise funds in support of charitable home care, hospice and counseling programs for residents of South Jersey, including Camp Firefly for grieving children.
According to officials, this fundraiser is expected to be well attended by local VIP’s, and those interested in enjoying an evening of wine, beer and liquor tasting and food pairings guided by experts in the field.
Officials say the evening includes more than 30 tables of tastings of U.S. and international wines and beer sponsored by Benash Liquors of Cherry Hill, with liquor tasting is also available this year.
The evening also includes food and dessert samplings by area chefs, bakers, and caterers. Participants include: The Chop House, Harvest Seasonal Grill, Bellagio, Seasons 52, Fresh Grille Paella, Chick-Fil-A and Monsoon Fine Indian Cuisine.
Chefs will also be on-hand from Cardinal Village, Powerback Moorestown, Brookdale Senior Living and Brandywine Living.
The event will also feature a silent auction, wine pull and cash raffle. New this year is also a “campsite” full of games and prizes in support of Camp Firefly.

Tickets are available to the public for $60 per person age 21 and older. Officials advise advance purchase to those interested.
