Rotary’s evening group ‘AMP’s up for second year of giving back

The group is encouraging perspective members to check out the organization.

In response to a changing world, the Moorestown Lunch Club formed a Rotary Group that meets at night. Known as AMP, the Alternate Meeting Program allows people who could not attend rotary meetings during the day the opportunity to serve as a Rotarian. The group meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month, at Harvest Restaurant at the Moorestown Mall.

The group is planning its philanthropic efforts that will run through its second full Rotary year ending June 30, 2019. Activities will include:

  • A fundraiser for Millennium Promise, an international non-profit dedicated to ending poverty worldwide by 2030.
  • Making dresses for girls in Africa, enabling them to attend school.
  • Clean-up of the Moorestown Dog Park, which they adopted as an ongoing commitment to the community.

AMP invites those who are interested to a meeting to get to know the value and fulfillment that comes from the Rotarian motto “service above self.” Upcoming guest speakers will be presenting about the Domestic Violence Response Team of Burlington County, It Takes a Village and Rowan College.
