Sandy Hook Promise training offered to adults and youth

The training program will take place Tuesday, July 17 at the First United Methodist Church.

A training program about Sandy Hook Promise Violence Prevention Programs will take place on Tuesday, July 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Moorestown. Intended for an audience from sixth grade to adults, this program offers solutions to protect children from gun-related tragedies and other forms of violence and victimization.

Lauren Jones, a Sandy Hook Promise (SHP) Promise Leader and Moorestown Parent, will provide adult attendees an overview about the nonprofit’s four no cost “Know the Signs” prevention programs for all grade levels. Practical, easy to implement strategies will be shared to help adult participants be more aware and competent related to safety in our schools and communities.

Ann-Linn Glaser, an educational consultant and SHP Promise Leader, will present the training to youth in an engaging, age-appropriate way.

Light refreshments provided, and childcare will be available for ages 10 and under.

RSVP’s are appreciated for copying, childcare, food preparation. Contact Lauren via text or email at (609)707–0727 or at [email protected].
