The Evesham Township Police Department (ETPD) has announced Officer Dylan Mahan as the department’s “Officer of the Month” for May 2018.

Police officials say Mahan is being commended for his proactive policing approach, investigative skills and commitment to making the township a safer place.

In May, police say Mahan made 16 adult arrests, two of who were found to be operating their vehicles in an impaired state.

Police say Mahan has also shown a keen investigative sense.

According to police, Mahan utilized criminal intelligence to conduct surveillance on a home where police suspected drugs were being sold from.

Police say the surveillance resulted in the arrest of two subjects and the seizure of a large quantity of methamphetamine prepared for sale, as well as a large quantity of United States currency.

According to police, Mahan has shown a commitment to making Evesham Township a safer place and has shown above average skills in the area of traffic safety and narcotics detection. Police say Mahan has shown excellent dedication in providing outstanding police service to the residents of Evesham.

Mahan has been a member of the ETPD for one year.
