The New Jersey Department of Transportation is inviting Moorestown residents to attend an informational meeting on the proposed reconstruction of the Rt. 38, S. Church St. and Fellowship Rd. intersections on June 6, according to a post from the Moorestown Township police department.
The meeting will be held at the Burlington County Engineering Complex, Main Meeting Room located at 1900 Briggs Road in Mt. Laurel from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees will have an opportunity to review exhibits of the preliminary design plans for the proposed project, ask questions and share information with representatives of NJDOT, according to the announcement. Property owners with rental units are advised that tenants are also invited and
encouraged to participate.
Residents are encouraged to actively participate by providing comments at the meeting, by mail or by e-mail.
According to the announcement, the proposed improvements include: widening to increase the number of lanes around the entire intersection network to include dedicated left turn lanes at the Route 38 and South Church Street intersection in addition to a dedicated left turn lane to the northbound South Church Street and Fellowship Road intersection; new traffic signals along with highway lighting improvements; Hooten’s Bridge will be reconstructed and widened and curb ramps and sidewalks will be installed or modified to meet ADA requirements.
