NJ Attorney General calls for review of law enforcement

Public meeting to be held to discuss the formation of an Advisory Committee in each county

Release issued by Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office:

The New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Division of Criminal Justice, has mandated a Uniform Statewide Procedures and Practices for Investigating and Reviewing Police Use-of-Force Incidents. The Attorney General’s Office has directed each county prosecutor to host a public meeting with community leaders to discuss forming an advisory committee to initiate a collaborative process whereby the core principle is uniformity in investigative and legal practices to maintain and protect the integrity of investigations.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office has scheduled this County Community Policing Project for 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, May 15 at Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) in room IC430 of the Instruction Center.
