Cherry Hill man charged with robbing bank

Brandon Cheng of Cherry Hill has been charged with robbing the Fulton Bank on Kings Highway on Jan. 31.

Authorities have charged a Cherry Hill man for robbing the Fulton Bank on Kings Highway in the township.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Tuesday that Brandon Cheng, 24, of Cherry Hill, was charged in connection to a bank robbery that occurred on Jan. 31 thanks to tips from the community.

Cheng entered the Fulton Bank located on Kings Highway and passed a demand note to the teller. He received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene. He was charged with second degree robbery on Feb. 1 and was arrested on Feb. 13, 2018 by the United States Marshals without incident.

Under the Criminal Justice Reform rules, the court released Cheng from the Camden County Correctional Facility with conditions while awaiting upcoming court proceedings.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
