Voters approve Cherry Hill 2018 fire budget

Voters also re-elected Fire Commissioner William P. Kelly according to unofficial results from Cherry Hill Fire District №13.

Voters chose to approve Cherry Hill Fire District №13’s 2018 budget and re-elect William P. Kelly to the Board of Fire Commissioners in Saturday’s Cherry Hill fire election.

According to unofficial results from the Cherry Hill fire district, 1,802 voters, or about 63.5 percent, voted to approve the budget. A total of 1,034 people voted against the budget. The unofficial results include those who voted at the polls and mail-in ballots.

In the election for Board of Fire Commissioners, Kelly edged out challenger Susan Druckenbrod and was elected to a three-year term. Kelly earned approximately 43 percent of the vote, while Druckenbrod earned about 38.5 percent of the vote. Finishing in third place was William Trotman with about 18.4 percent of the vote.
