Learn about the department through classes running from March 20 through May 8.
The Evesham Police Department is accepting applications for the Spring 2018 session of the Citizens Police Academy. Session No. 10 will start on Tuesday, March 20 and will run until May 8. Classes will be held at the Evesham Township Municipal Complex each Tuesday night from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for eight weeks.
Police describe the academy as a great opportunity to get to know the members of the police department and experience a behind the scenes look at a nationally accredited law enforcement agency.
Some of the topics covered will be traffic/DWI enforcement, criminal investigation, canine deployment and use of force. The classes will also be taking a trip to the 911 call center for a tour and utilization of the Firearms Training Simulator.
Applications can be picked up at the municipal complex or downloaded from the police department website at www.eveshampd.org.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age and either be a resident of Evesham Township or a business owner in Evesham Township.
Completed applications and any questions regarding this program can be directed to Lt. Ron Ritter at [email protected] or Officer Jessica Lettieri at [email protected].
