Evesham Police charge local man with two home burglaries, with other victims possible

Police say the first incident was on Dec. 13 on Elberta Lane and the second was on Dec. 24 on Red Haven Drive.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

According to Evesham Police, a man was arrested and charged with breaking into two area homes in December.

Police say the first incident was on Dec. 13 in the 3900 block of Elberta Lane and the second was on Dec. 24 in the 4000 block of Red Haven Drive. Police say the homes were burglarized during daytime hours and entry was possibly through a second story window.

According to police, the suspect was identified after he allegedly sold some of the stolen proceeds to a local pawn shop.

On the morning of Jan. 8, members of the Evesham Investigative Bureau executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home in the 2400 block of Elberta Lane.

During the search warrant execution, police say the suspect was arrested without incident.

Police say a search of the home resulted in the discovery of heroin, drug paraphernalia and possible additional burglary proceeds from unknown homes.

Arrested:

A male, age 30, of Marlton, was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and theft, third-degree possession of heroin and a disorderly person’s offense for possession of hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia.

Police say the man was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.
