Letter to the editor: Dear Santa…

Writer: ‘Give the the gift of good example’

Dear Santa,

I know you’re a real busy guy and cover more than a few zones without a single syllable of complaint, but the last time I saw you, you looked a little less jolly. I guess your naughty and nice list has got you down, since there sure are a lot of bad kids out there.

Maybe, you could give them the gift of good example; some might even learn gratitude or at least how to get through disappointment. Maybe, you could give all those humbuggers the gift of knowledge that goodwill and good cheer are essential for optimum mental health.

Since you’re a saint, could you put in a few good words with your boss, not Mrs. Claus, for those alone and without the gift of family and friends so maybe they might find someone kind and caring.

Anyway, thanks for doing your usual great job bringing all of us holiday magic, joy and all the treasured memories that last a lifetime and longer.

George DeGeorge
