Christmas in the Pines Tour

Tabernacle invites you to tour hostoric homes decorated for the holidays

A full day of Christmas cheer awaits you at the Historical Society of Tabernacle Township Christmas in the Pines House Tour and More on Saturday, Dec. 9.

Start your day off by purchasing your House Tour ticket at the historic Tabernacle Town Hall, 163 Carranza Road. Proceed across the street to the United Methodist Church’s “Cookie Walk”, at 166 Carranza Road, from 9 a.m. to noon to get your homemade cookies for Santa and your guests. With your House Tour ticket in hand you are welcomed to partake in a free luncheon at the Church of Christ, located at 160 Carranza Road, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. You may also eat on your own at the restaurants mentioned in the ticket brochure.

After you have eaten and rested, start your house tour by going to the 1860 Knight-Pepper House, 163 Carranza Road, and then on to the little red 1890 Friendship Schoolhouse located on Carranza Road, next to Sequoia Alternative High School. Your ticket will then direct you to the featured homes distinctly decorated for your pleasure, which are open from noon to 6 p.m.

Our four residential homes will be decked out in their holiday fineries. Start with a lovely home festively decorated and featuring a wonderful collection of over 200 unique Santas. Proceed on to a Byer’s Choice Christmas & enjoy a large collection of these dolls and their unique history. Next, gather up the clan for a holiday home bedecked in family tartans and traditional décor. Your final stop will be a jolly 1800’s Stage Coach Stop & Post Office, which is an antique lover’s dream. All homes are truly Tabernacle treasures.

To be respectful to our homeowners, the committee asks that you be prepared to take off your shoes when you enter the homes and carry them in a plastic bag. Tickets may be pre-ordered by phone at (609) 923–7707 or (609) 268–1255 for $20 or bought the day of the event for $25 at Tabernacle Town Hall, 163 Carranza Road. All proceeds will benefit the maintenance fund. The Historical Society of Tabernacle Township is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are gratefully accepted.
