One Shamong Township Committee, two BOE seats up for grabs in Tuesday’s election
Today, Shamong Township voters cast their ballots in the 2017 General Election. Locally, residents elected incumbent Martin Mozitis for the open committee seat, as he ran unopposed.
The unofficial results from the Burlington County Board of Elections reports Mozitis received 1,437 votes.
With two seats open on the Shamong Township School District Board of Education, incumbent Melissa Ciliberti, with 808 votes, will be joined by a newcomer determined by write-in votes. According to the Burlington County Clerk’s Office, the results of the write-in votes have not yet been determined. Official results are expected to be available in the coming weeks.
All results are unofficial until the board of elections certifies them. These numbers do not include mail-in or provisional ballots.
