On Thursday, the troop is hosting a fundraiser at Winslow Manor.
The following is a press release from Girl Scout Troop 30430:
Being a Girl Scout in high school is a rare occurrence, but for twelve young women, Troop 30430 has been a priority for ten or more years. These girls have served the community amassing over one hundred hours each in service hours, earned bronze, silver and gold awards and developed impressive leadership skills since the days of being little Brownies.
Today, they are accomplished Ambassadors getting ready to bridge into adulthood. To celebrate this awesome accomplishment and their final year as scouts, they decided to plan a trip to Pigeon Forge/Gaitlinburg TN.
They have been planning for three years, and now the parents of these girls are helping to support their dream by holding a Giant Basket/Quarter Auction Nov. 16 at Winslow Manor, located at 55 Hall Street, Winslow Township.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25, if purchased in advance and $30 at the door.
This includes hot and cold hors d’ouvres, beverages, one sheet of basket auction tickets and everything needed for 13 quarter auction games, except the quarters. It is recommend to bring a roll or two of quarters.
With over 80 baskets, the event is sure to be a blast and by joining in the fun, this will be helping 12 amazing young women achieve a much deserved dream trip to Tennessee.
