The Lions will next play Delsea Regional High School on Monday in the South Jersey Group III semifinals.
Cherry Hill High School West girls soccer’s postseason run will continue after the №10 seeded Lions upset №2 seed Mainland Regional High School on Thursday in the South Jersey Group III quarterfinals.
The Lions stunned the Mustangs, winning 2–1 in overtime. Samantha Santos scored both goals for Cherry Hill West, including the game-winning tally in double overtime. Michela Auguadro had a great game in goal for Cherry Hill West, making 16 saves.
Cherry Hill West is the only double-digit seed remaining in the South Jersey Group III tournament. The Lions will travel to Franklinville on Monday to play №3 seed Delsea Regional High School. The winner of that game will earn a spot in the South Jersey Group III sectional championship game next Thursday.
