Cherry Hill police officers ready to run with the community

A new Cherry Hill Police Department campaign will allow residents to further connect with police officers serving in the community. This month, the police department kicked off its new “Run With Us, Not Away From Us” campaign. The new campaign gives community members an opportunity to meet and run alongside members of the police department at 5K runs and other events around the township.

Young Cherry Hill actress to play three roles in one show at Walnut Street Theatre

Cherry Hill actress Ella Hampton, 11, has performed in a number of shows at the Walnut Street Theatre during her young career. In her latest performance, however, Ella is performing more than just one role. She is performing as three different characters in the Walnut Street Theatre’s production of “Honk! Jr.” Performances of the show will take place on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8 at 11 a.m.

Haley Cohen a leader both on and off the tennis court

Haley Cohen is a key tennis player at Brandeis University. She in entering her second year as the tennis captain, is entrenched in the Hillel community at her school and volunteers with ACEing Autism. All of these things made Cohen the perfect recipient for the David Back Memorial Maccabi Award. Cohen received the award on Sept. 13 at the JCC Sports Award Dinner.

Apples will rule at new Barclay Farmstead fall event

There will be plenty of apples to go around on Oct. 1 at Barclay Farmstead. Friends of Barclay Farmstead is teaming up with Cherry Hill Township for Apple Palooza, a new family event set to take place on Oct. 1. The new event will be an expanded version of Barclay Farmstead’s First Sunday event, with apple-themed crafts, games, activities and food.

PSE&G preparing to replace gas pipes around Cherry Hill

This month, PSE&G will be kicking off a project to upgrade some of the aging gas pipes around Cherry Hill. The project will begin on Haddonfield-Berlin Road, between Brace Road and Haddontowne Court, and then continue onto various streets throughout the town. Construction will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and is expected to continue through the end of the year.
