Mt. Laurel resident Kelly Tsigounis won a new kayak through a raffle at the recent “Bringing Nature Home Music & Craft Festival” on Aug. 27 hosted by the Friends of Rancocas Nature Center and sponsored by the Native Plant Society of NJ.
General sponsor L.L.Bean donated the “Manatee 10 Solo Kayak Package” for the raffle valued at $460, along with a life vest valued at $90.
Tsigounis, who lives on Rancocas Creek, said she plans to give the $550 raffle prize kayak to her son.
During the festival and prior to the raffle drawing, L.L.Bean also hosted kids’ activities such as painting nature murals, a boot toss and their “Sleeping Bag Stuffing Challenge” where attendees had to fit a backpacking sleeping bag into its compression sack in 30 seconds or less.
