Students donate more than 550 pounds of food

Students at Chesterbrook Academy preschool in Moorestown recently donated more than 550 pounds of food to the Food Bank of South Jersey.

Throughout June and July, students held a donation drive to collect nonperishable food items for the organization that aims to provide an immediate solution to the urgent problem of hunger.

A representative from the food bank visited the school to kick off the food drive and talk with the students about the importance of their donations.

Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping community members in need.
