In what the library describes as a touching and powerful autobiographical story, director Louis Malle (“Atlantic City”) looks back on his own childhood in a Jesuit-run school in France during World War II.
Through the film a school student befriends the newest kid in his class after struggling with him, then makes some startling discoveries about his new friend’s background.
This 1987 film is n French with English subtitles and is rated PG with a 104 minute runtime.
