The virtual ride-along will follow calls during the evening and tweet information about the calls for service, along with pictures and videos of the officers at work.
The Evesham Police Department is inviting its social media followers to “ride along” on July 28 from 6 p.m. to midnight as Evesham Chief of Police Christopher Chew uses social media to give the community a glimpse of what Evesham officers experience during a normal patrol shift.
The ETPD virtual ride-along will follow calls during the evening shift, tweeting information about the calls for service, along with pictures and videos of the officers at work. Social media followers will be able to follow the officers in real time as if they were in the front seat of the patrol car.
Through the use of the virtual ride along program, the Evesham Police Department hopes to enhance public transparency and to continue to build partnerships with the community.
The program will also provide an inside view of the officers who serve the Evesham community every day.
