Join the RNC on August 18 for a night of stargazing and learning about astronomy!
Just three days before this decade’s “complete solar eclipse”, Friends of Rancocas Nature Center will co-host with West Jersey Astronomical Society for its Third Star Watch/Astronomy Night on Friday, Aug 18, 2017.
Starting at 7:30 p.m., there will be an indoor demonstration before heading out to the Meadow. WJAS will bring its big array of telescopes and other optics to guide beginners and experienced star gazers through the summer night sky.
Guests are encouraged to bring flashlights, lawn chairs and binoculars. Pre-registration is required for this program. There is no rain date.
Cost is $10 per person, $25 per family (limit 5) for Rancocas Nature Center members; and $15 per person, $40 per family (limit 5) for nonmembers. Call (609)261–2495 to pre-register. Rancocas Nature Center is at 794 Rancocas Road, Westampton, NJ 08060.
